Project 365: Day 304 -- Home Depot

Another day of running errands, including Home Depot for straw to spread over the new grass seed.

I know it's Halloween, but in 16 years, we have not had a single trick-or-treater. And we are just into Halloween anyway.

Project 365: Day 303 -- Fall Colors and Hot Coffee

Today, Kelly and I spent the day just hanging out. We went to Red Tree for coffee and delicious chocolate cupcakes. Then we went up towards Ashland City to photograph some fall colors at the Brush Creek Recreational Area.

Yes, someone needs to check their math!

Project 365: Day 302 -- Time to Spend with Kelly

Today is our 16th wedding anniversary, and Kelly's 43rd birthday. Originally, we had planned to drive to Virginia this week and see some historic sites, but dad's surgery altered our plans. So we spent the day running some errands, and looking at some new audio-visual equipment. We had breakfast at Cracker Barrel, Kelly also bought me some awesome boots, and we got him some cigars. Then we had a late lunch/early dinner at J. Alexanders.

Project 365: Day 301 -- The Drive Home

More images shot while driving home from Memphis. I was great to see my family, including my brother Jim who flew up from Florida. Dad's recovering well, though he's still very tired and very sore.

Even before his heart surgery, Dad had decided to sell most of his woodworking tools.

This is what it looks like six days after having your chest cut open. Dad's already home from the hospital and recovery quite well.

Project 365: Day 298 -- Another Trip West

Well this time I wasn't shooting from a moving vehicle. Because no one was going anywhere. This was a nightmare trip back to Memphis. I sat for nearly an hour over the Tennessee River, and then another hour outside of Collierville. What should have taken 3 hours took over 5 hours. Yes, I was quite grumpy by the time I arrived at my parents' house, not to mention I really had to pee!

Project 365: Day 296 -- House Painting Coming Along...

The house painting is coming along. It's almost done! It took FOREVER because of rain and scheduling conflicts.

Project 365: Day 295 -- The Drive Through West Tennessee

Just some shots taken while on my way home today. I seem to have pretty mad skillz at shooting from a moving vehicle without looking through the viewfinder, lol!

Project 365: Day 294 -- Emergency Surgery

I had to drive to Memphis today. My father had to have emergency open-heart surgery last night. A triple by-pass. He didn't have a heart-attack first, but it's a miracle they caught the problem before he did. The blockages were extreme. Fortunately, he's going to be fine, but anytime they rip your chest open is scary.

Project 365: Day 290 -- Dinner Out

We tried a new Mexican place for dinner tonight. The fajitas were really great. I actually forgot to take photos of the food inside!

Project 365: Day 288 -- Day Two of This School

We didn't have very many kids to photograph on Day 2, so I did mostly the group shots while Rebekah did the individuals. I did get to photograph this little clown--he was hilarious!

Project 365: Day 287 -- And the Deluge of Boxes Begins...

This is the first batch of proofs arriving from my lab. These have to be attached to order forms specific to each student. It's the most time consuming part of the processing.
